If he's hiding u he ain't worth it slank
  2. I personally would like to see more variety. Both controversial and mundane characters make for fun rp. Dark stuff like serial killers, stalkers and psychopaths really add some spice to the server and a dose of realism. Hope to read about these cases in the LC news outlets. Similarly I think family roleplay is really underrated. Haven't seen much of that in past communities with the exception of crime families. On that same note, OLD PEOPLE! They're versatile and are good opportunities for role players who want to try out something different. Imagine how chaotic an elderly care home in the middle of Liberty City would be!
  3. Ran out of anything decent to watch, leave your recommendations below!
  4. Yes but Shawshank Redemption can only be watched once, after which you're never the same. The scene with the old man shatters me every single time.
  5. Anything by Studio Ghibli has my heart. Spirited Away and Howl's Moving Castle are my favorites. Notable mention for Borat because after all these years it still makes me laugh.

Don't be too harsh on us plebs, there's a housing crisis at the moment. Welcome to the team.
  7. I actually was really impressed by the trailer. I agree the amount of people protesting wasn't realistic but that's because it is a game and has its constraints. I genuinely loved the music, the scenes and overall it felt like I was watching a TV show. I'd watch this if they turned it into a mini-series to be honest. I think the most important part about having a trailer that develops a server-wide story and introduces government officials, conspiracies and allows players to pick a side is that it makes the server feel alive. Had it just showcased the new map and a few mods it wouldn't have had the same effect.
  8. Let's hope there's actually good quality RP this time around.
  9. +1 for the allowance increase
  10. This looks so promising! Really like the design and attention to detail, especially the team members illustration. Hope you guys enjoy this roleplay and keep our characters informed to actual in-game events
  11. I know RP servers can feel like ghost towns, especially at certain times of the day when no one's around to RP, but NPCing traffic is a no no from me. You can't gain any RP from an NPC. There's no actual meaningful interaction to be had with a set of mindless pixels. Also the amount of bugs making NPCs crash into players and vice versa would make driving on highways dreadful. I know there's a bigger problem here which you've mentioned and seems to be the main reason behind your suggestion. Realistically, criminals can't just hightail it down the highway with no obstacle in their way. I'm not sure what suggestion could fix this issue, but NPCing traffic would bring even bigger problems than this one.
  12. 2 max. Anything more and I feel like I'm watering down their personalities. Even 2 is hard to balance sometimes and I always end up putting way more effort into my main one. I do like to try new things from time to time though and sometimes end up loving my new character so much I make it my main.
  13. Restaurants/Bakeries(bagel shops cmon!), art galleries, museums, souvenir shops around the statue of liberty and famous tourist attractions. I'd love to see stadiums being used for sport events but we'd need sports first.
  14. Really good suggestion, I'm 100% in agreement.
  15. GTA:W. Lost its spark for me once revenue became the sole purpose of the server, and roleplay quality took an embarrassing plunge in many parts of the community. Really excited for this server, the competition it's bringing, the new ideas and new map. The positivity I've seen so far on the forums here has also kind of shocked me in the best way possible.
  16. While I normally disagree with making players roleplay tedious academic work, since Vespucci is supposedly Ivy League, it makes sense for players to actually be graded and have the chance to fail, etc. I understand everyone's in a different timezone, so perhaps simple multiple choice quizzes which can be created on websites like Quizlet and Google Forms would be a more convenient option. That way players who wish to roleplay failing their classes can choose to do poorly on tests on purpose. Obviously, different classes would have different difficulty levels. If you're roleplaying becoming an engineer or a biochemist it should be fairly challenging for your character to do well. My opinion might not be too popular and I understand few people want to sit there and take a test, but if you choose to roleplay studying at an Ivy League, there should be some realism behind it.
  17. I'm hoping detective, if that actually turns out to be viable on this server. Perhaps an out-of-touch, middle aged, trust-fund man-child who's got a horrible but expensive fashion sense and an alcohol problem to match.
  18. A good supportive community is a big factor for me. Every roleplayer is different and I don't expect everyone to get along perfectly, but that doesn't mean we can't at least be civil with each other. With that being said, management and the admin team are usually major players in this. I've witnessed a lot of communities turn into a toxic cesspit where if you've got admin friends you're automatically off the hook. This type of behaviour from admins only harbours hatred between players who rightfully feel they've been victims of partial and unfair judgement. I personally stay on the server for the roleplay created by the community, but end up leaving when I feel management and admins have become extremely corrupt.
  19. The fact you're self aware kinda puts you in the decent admin category at the very least.
  20. That does hurt, but just because a market is p2p doesn't mean your furnishing is going to be kept. I was a mapper on a different server, and 9/10 clients want you to scrap the old interior anyway.
  21. Having seen how poorly a player controlled market functions on other servers... I'm gonna say, please, for the love of God, no. As time goes on and old players accumulate more wealth, they tend to buy off properties and flip them for crazy numbers. I feel like real estate as a business should absolutely not be a thing. Once prices spiral out of control it's so hard to normalize market prices again for new players. And like we have seen on other servers, management ends up having to step in anyway and come up with different solutions to try and patch up their mistake. There should be a limit on how many properties a player can own. Besides their home and maybe a vacation house, they should have no other incentive to hoard houses.
