Non-leading Positions:

• Resident Physician - Internal, Emergency, Orthopedic Medicine
  - Must have M.D.
  - Must have a clean criminal record
   
• Attending Physician - Internal, Emergency, Orthopedic Medicine
  - Must have M.D.
  - Must be Board Certified from the American Board of Emergency Medicine - If applying for Emergency Medicine
  - Must be Board Certified from the American Board of Internal Medicine - If applying for Internal Medicine
  - Must be Board Certified from the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery - If applying for Orthopedics
  - Must have completed Residency
   
• Resident Surgeon - General and Plastic Surgery
  - Must have M.D.
  - Must enter the Resident/Intern Program at SMC
  - Applicant must already be sure whether they want to specialize in General Surgery OR Plastic Surgery (Reconstructive)
   
• Attending Surgeon - General and Plastic Surgery
  - Must have M.D.
  - Must be Board Certified from the American Board of Surgery - If applying for General Surgery
  - Must be Board Certified from the American Board of Plastic Surgery - If applying for Plastic Surgery (Reconstructive)
  - Must have completed Residency
   
• Clinical Psychologist
  - Must have at least a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D. is preferred)
  - Must have at least 2 years of experience working in the Mental Health Department (Freelance Work counts)
  - ABPP and ABCP - board certified (Preferred, not a necessity)
   
• Clinical Psychiatrist
  - Must have M.D.
  - ABPN - board certified (Preferred, not a necessity)
  - Previous work experience (If none, Clinical Psychiatrists will be hired as RESIDENT PSYCHIATRISTS before becoming eligible to be promoted for ATTENDING PSYCHIATRISTS)
   
• Registered Nurse
  - Must have at least ADN
  - Must have passed NCLEX-RN exam
   
• Scrub Nurse
  - Must have at least BSN
  - Must have passed NCLEX-RN exam
   
• Pharmacist
  - Must have at least B.Pharm (D.Pharm is preferred)
   
• Administrative Clerk of SMC
  - Must have at least a High School Diploma

Leading Positions:

 

• Chief of Emergency Medicine
  - Must have M.D.
  - Must be Board Certified from the American Board of Emergency Medicine
  - Must at least be an Attending Phsyician
   
• Chief of Internal Medicine
  - Must have M.D.
  - Must be Board Certified from the American Board of Internal Medicine
  - Must at least be an Attending Physician
   
• Chief of Orthopedics
  - Must have M.D.
  - Must be Board Certified from the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery
  - Must at least be an Attending Physician
   
• Chief of Plastic Surgery (Reconstructive)
  - Must have M.D.
  - Must be Board Certified from the American Board of Plastic Surgery
  - Must at least be an Attending Physician
   
• Head Nurse
  - Must have at least a BSN (MSN is preferred)
  - Must have previous work experience
   
• Head of Mental Health Department (Psychology, Psychiatry)
  - Must have M.D. OR Psy.D.
  - Must be Attending Psychiatrist (If M.D. Psychiatry candidate)
  - Must be Board Certified from the appropriate American Board
  - Must have experience
   
• Head of Administration
  - Must have at least a High School Diploma
  - Must have work experience
