MeowTheEpic Posted February 21 Content Count: 145 Reputation: 65 Joined: 06/23/2022 Age: 28 Share Posted February 21 Honestly fines should be there for financial crimes that nets a person some money, and probably class A felonies, they're not stuff that players will be committing every day and honestly I believe the financial punishment will serve as a risk factor, people can shrug off time and commit first degree murder, but might think twice and actually properly plan things if it costs them a week's salary or two. Could we get examples of either in action so I know how to differentiate them? Sorry for missing this. Here is the answer. Criminal Contempt is in regards to mainly court orders. Like someone gets a subpeona for something, and refuses to act upon it. Where as Obstruction is more so in the field, like refusing to follow orders of a police officer or firefighter, trying to prevent someone reporting a crime, etc. One is more so court ordered then the other, although there can be similarities.
