  1. Honestly, I'm saddened how one community (LEO) was favoured over the other (EMS/FIRE), hours on. We're still not able to roleplay because of the way factions are, or at least FDLC is. I get LCPD was more integral to the servers 'plotline' and more people care about cop rp. But, comn guys. - Miniscule issues of spelling mistakes, makes it feel like our script was rushed as a last thought compared to LCPD (LCFD, Marshalls etc) - Uniforms are clunky, bug out (My character who's a Chief cannot wear anything but jeans) or are missing completely despite being in the pack that was made 1+ years ago. - Faction vehicles are broken, the main vehicle integral to our faction is broke (Ambulance lightbar) and we don't have the liveries on half our vehicles because liveries cannnot be set in game. - Faction vehicle colours are wrong because this again, cannot be set in game. Generic: - Clothing store bugs where I receive an error, quit out of the clothing store menu and then my camera locks so I'm stuck reloading my game all together. - No glasses - No real UI and all reliant on text commands. - Plastic surgeons should exist - Unable to scroll in or modify the camera in character creation Pros - Helpful admins on launch day - Stable connection - Staff already trying to remedy issues
  2. My main issue is with the lore part - Sure you have the consistency policy and the other thread 'A History of Liberty City' - However, you want people to be serious about lore, when two videos are extremely satirical in nature? I think this defeats the purpose of actually being serious about world building compared to what you are currently building with the news articles and such and again, the brochure is nice. But, reading it is near impossible due to how small the font is - If you want people to read things like the flipstack book and watch the videos, I think a rework is in order to make the book readable and well, I've already mentioned what I think about the videos.
  3. Just state that the history of LC is basically nearly 1:1 with New York? Cause it seems like it pretty much is? The videos are extremely low quality and I'm not sure why we need to learn about history as far back as its founding when most characters aren't going to be old enough to be interested. Like I see no roleplay purpose of knowing who established Liberty City or that it was a Dutch (I can't remember what it was called). But, the fact is, no one is going to factor this into their roleplay unless they roleplay a character who is interested in history etc. Most people will research it for the quiz and then pretty much forget it, other than the current lore building of the election. If you wanted to involve lore, it should have been written in easy to read format and not satirical videos that are low quality and should have invested more time into them. The magazine/brochure is great effort. But, for most, is unreadable. I feel like the quiz should be a mixture of multiple choice and short written questions to maintain a players interest, I feel like by the third or fourth, people are going to wonder whats the point? By the time you get to the fourth question on the quiz, you might as well have signed up to college/university to do written essays with how many words are involved. At the end of the day, like people have agreed, we're playing a game. People don't play video games to write college level essays. Sure, GTAWorld is written and involves no multiple choice. But, they don't ask 6+ questions.
  4. At the end of the day, LCRP wants to build-on and improve on the faults GTAWorld has in terms of being a Heavy Roleplay Server - Because, let's face it. GTAWorld's reputation as a 'Heavy Roleplay Server' has been faltering recently and it shows. But, such an in-depth quiz, I feel like yes, you're holding players to a standard. But, you're also potentially driving away potential members by making it seem like you're taking a college entry exam to simply play a server on a game. I think in the long term, such a quiz like this is going to do more damage than good. Despite being ex-staff, I want LCRP to succeed where GTAWorldLC failed. But, I feel like this isn't the way to go. Even those looking for a 'New Era of Roleplay' or 'Heavy Roleplay' server will most likely be dissuaded because, no one wants to write an essay just so they can have fun.
  5. So, I think there needs to be a discussion on the UCP Quiz and what people think of it. What does everyone think of the direction LCRP are taking a previously small multiple choice, small paragraph quiz like we used to see on LSRP and GTAWorld and making it in-depth? Personally, I'm not sure. As much as I love that the quiz asks us about Liberty City lore, I think it's a lot of an ask to have someone sit down and read a magazine (That has a bunch of accessbility issues if I do say (I have dsylexia so the font is horrifying to try and read - and even then for the normal person, the text is TINY)) and then watch two videos of equally poor quality (and generally satirist nature (Which I'm not sure I understand given the direction LCRP wishes to go with realism and 'Next Era of Roleplay')). I generally think LCRP is blurring the lines between us remembering this is a video game and not an in real life university/college level entry exam. Generally I think the Quiz could have been a lot better in a mix of multiple choice + written questions. But, that was just my opinion, what's everyone elses thoughts?
  6. I’ll add next time I’m at my laptop!
  7. You aren’t trying to roleplay an illegal gang character are you? This is aimed at those.
  8. The game had so much promise, it's looking so much better. But, I feel like it's a few years too late.
  9. Definately looking forward to it with the storyline. Please @Biography most of us are itching now!
  10. Usually Police Departments are at some logger head with local gangs, mafias etc to keep them happy - E.g. They stay out each others way to avoid conflicts or the Police Department are at the mercy of mafias etc as the mafia can be more powerful than PD etc.
  11. Bio changed his status on Discord: It was the time at when the trailer dropped yesterday, so possibly something dropping at 12:30?
