Right so just to clarify. As far as it goes we follow the history of New York until 2020? Is that correct? So does that somewhat means we will start our server at /that/ time or something? Speaking of lore, I know it's weird but are we going to "weave in" major events happening in the server into it's lore and will be archived or somewhat addressed kept in some thread or whatever so new players would be aware of it? I just wonder what's the system here to ensure continuity of it.

1) Rewrite the initial question about the lore to make it more clear (seeing that we needed to raise a thread to finally get clarification that we can use history of NYC to answer it should be noted INSIDE said question formulation as well) 2) Of course it's more of a long term suggestion perhaps but in time, I assume it would be benefitial to form some sort of lore continuity council to steer the story of LC which, us the players would have to respect and follow (of course it's optional but since the creation of Heritage of Liberty City organization it really saddens me there hasn't been that many of an input out of it. I am curious is there any plan for it? Or said story telling, lore continuity responsibility will fall upon news articles written by Liberty Tree?)

Then a certain clarification is needed because tbh, I did not exactly knew or it slipped through my mind I could research New York history until 2020 to answer said question and not gonna flex or anything, but I am a long time member (speaking of faction threads, I did talk to another member about it and hell, /some/ factions does not even follow said lore to an A like administration would wish for. We are not arguing the lore question, it's a nice take, it's the fact that to answer this said question we have little to no information (or to be precise, two satirical videos about the history of Liberty city and barely readable journal on history of Liberty City). We are not being asses there, but it would be thoughtful to think that SOME people might HAVE some ACCESIBILITY issues and that's the case we trying to point at (or at least, one of them)

Bet, Even after many months, I still didn't fill out application for whitelist just because of issues mentioned above. I understand we wish to go for realism, but goddamn don't make it like I am taking a SAT exam or some shit (questions can be faked, experience and overall adaptation/quality of players RP will not and while whitelist does act like a filter, that one is way too strong even for my taste)

Plus DLC's will come later in a year where you can own the store. Ngl, if stuff goes well WB is looking at decent cash cow right here and like I mentioned WB does release half decent games (Shadow of War, Shadow of Mordor definitely comes in mind)

Pre ordered this to myself and my gf. I like the universe, WB games are actually half decent so yeah. Looking forward to it Edit: Plus checking from all those gameplay videos and shit, idk I do believe it will shape up to be a good game (of course I got a bit worried on a few fronts with all that SJW bs drama, pre orders already getting discounted... Ye well sadly it's hard to say how many active players we will have on the server and like I said before back "on that community" I'll say it now. It's up to us, players well to lift our asses and get on the server most of the times, luckily I have somewhat high hopes that established factions (from legal and illegal side) will jump IG and provide decent RP scenarios to take a part of... And not just party on a yacht as MC club. Still even tho' due to real life I am not a part of le team anymore, I still have somewhat high hopes for admins to actually provide us with events and shit. P.S I still have theory that community did not work out for quite a few reasons: 1) Launch day was simply a disaster - Buggy script all around, paychecks not being paid out, very unpolished and unfinished definitely drove people away considering well, GTAW even though crashing every 1-2 hours still offered more to do and more shit to grind for + yes, playerbase. Let's not forget "that community" started on Blaine county which again, demotivated a lot of factions to settle down or to be created (as it really did feel like out of touch) Nevertheless, I'll jump on my map to enjoy them fixed stairs and maybe continue to provide stuff to enhance the gameplay for our players when the time comes.

Sadly you pretty much answered your question right here ^ Navmeshes defines the pathing for NPC's and traffic (alas the name - Navigation mesh) Personally dunno how to create them (not many tools for that either + not much information about creation of it either >.>), but my best bet would be that it's at least "easier" to edit existing ones. Atm, I dunno I just wish for the server to boot up, all fancy NPC AI stuff could come later on.

1) FiveM running with one sync enabled has better sync than RageMP 2) I highly doubt that NPC traffic on LC map would be enjoyable as it is defined by navmeshes (aka ooga booga scary modding) and from my own experience running LC map on SP well it was bearable but I can definitely see issues when AI goes dum dum mode, because they just can't take good turns due to narrow roads :v #RockstarAIthings. 3) Even though fun at first I can already see peeps will get bored or headache inducing when AI gets all stupid

Well, I guess I understand where people are coming from by being upset. Yet, I can only judge by my own experience during my stay in staff as a modder. I gotta say that all teams are doing as best as they can to provide a QUALITY product to the community and players that show interest in our product (notice that I say quality, not perfect product as I sympathize with ASS saying there is no perfect product considering it's subjective). I really do not mind waiting for a month or two more if we get provided with more well established scripts to use and I believe that fellas will provide.

Personally, I agree with Brett. Artificial excuse to close down RP on one specific island just leaves bitter taste for me, no offense not to mention it does not exactly battle the glaring issue of people actually just farming out paychecks in interiors and whatnot. I still believe that those with an idea will try and form some sort of RP hubs themselves, communities of like minded individuals whom will provide RP for anyone who's interested in. But fking people sideways and locking them into one box is just nah in my book.

Agreed as it comes down to navmeshes (paths that peds would use because as usual - you gotta tell AI where's the path) but even then, it will do some weird stuff, might do some weird ass u turns and clog the road and that's just one of examples.

If certain set of rules, regulations and script be put in place to battle and control overall flow of property flipping then yes. If we just open shit up for people to flip? No no and once again - no. I am still a firm believer that property flipping is simply a glorified cash grab which will leave the economy bleeding if not controlled and be one of reasons for inflation to rise. So I don't know, I wish to support this, if and only if we make sure no out of control bullshit happens.

Speaking about Liberty City - Well, I do wish for strong "foodie" Roleplay to form around the server considering NYC/LC is still a very strong cultural pot. I know it's not as exciting as legal or criminal RP, but civilian RP has a new environment/lore to play with (I'll be mad if I can't get my Broker slice :v) It's just up to us, players to play with given tools and create an immersive server which we all going to enjoy. 2. What is your ideal influential figures & what makes them relevant in our everyday roleplay? Hard to tell, I know I'll be jumping in between legal and illegal characters but like Geo has mentioned, I kinda wish for celebrity class to form up - No, not mallrats who are perfect and shit, but someone who you could listen to over the radio or some broke ass politician holding rally around the local community to listen to and so on and on. 3. What kind of business ideas do you wish to be utilized more in gta rp? *shrugs* designer clothing store, jewelry stores, bodegas with some backroom activity, a local bar where I can get pissed on my character while listening to some stand up jokes or some indie rock band playing their first gig. Dunno, just wish for some businesses where a lot of players could come around and find some activity around there to slowly but steadily develop their character.
