I don't really know much about politics, to be fair, if somebody here can elaborate a bit on the views a liberal candidate has in comparison to the views a democrat one has, please do.
In US politics essentially you have 2 parties - Democrats (liberal/left) and Republicans (conservative/right). Within these 2 parties you will find various factions, but for the explanation you don't really need to know them. Democrats will typically support social safety nets such as pensions, unemployment benefits, higher minimum wage and so on with Republicans having the "pull yourself by the bootstraps" mentality that it's only work, hard work and more work can pull you out of poverty. On the social side of things Democrats support gay rights, abortion, legalized weed, transgenders, basically "live and let live" mentality. Republicans on the other hand are against this and advocate for "traditional families" as well as being tough on crime/drugs with more power given to law enforcement. In real life, Democrats often win by significant margins in the big cities in nearly all states while Republicans scoop up majority of the rural/countryside areas. In New York it's pretty much been a Democrat stronghold since forever with the only exception being mayoral elections with a few notable Republican mayors.
As per voter base, Republicans get a lot of support from business owners, religious voters (except for muslims), certain white voters, law enforcement, military. On the other hand Democrats find their voter base within ethnic minorities, more educated (diploma-wise) voters, young people, small part of business owners and unions.
This is generalizing A LOT but it hopefully gives you a general idea of things.- 1

Given my IRL politics with which I'm very involved with, I'd vote blue no matter who. My character, however, is a whole different story. Mob guys always had a fascination with Republican candidates, a lot of them also support Trump, so on a purely IC perspective I'll be voting R.

I'll be watching this.

they turnt the netflix series into a faction haha good luck guys
If you take a look at the timeline, the series came out AFTER the faction, so it's vice versa.

"When I talk, I might give an impression that I'm a wiseguy, but it's not true. I'm not a criminal. I'm not a gangster. I'm not a Mafia guy."
Edward "Eddy Stereo" Scimano, alleged underboss of the Lucchese crime family.

Why's this in criminal factions? They're all just legitimate businessmen. Unbelievable slander.

As long as they don't behave like American cops, they're solid in my book.

I wouldn't move to the US for a lot of reasons, you're more safe and better off in Canada for sure. As per the details of how to move there and what you'd get, gotta talk to the people who live there I guess.

The 'dai lo' or big brothers are veteran members affiliated with the triad society that organize the youth and in addition serve as enforcers.
Unlike the gwai-lo that wrote this thread.
